Hi everyone!
Right now I was supposed to be in Scandinavia for a big family trip to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday this year. We might try to go in August, or it might be next year, who knows. I'm not sure when I'll next be headed abroad and saying hello from here. Like for all of us, Coronavirus has really thrown a wrench in life. But I'm so grateful to be safe and healthy and with my family during these crazy times.
And I'm staying very busy with all kinds of projects, two of which I wanted to share.
First, I've posted some of the crafty things I make on an Etsy site called "LindseyCrafting." You can see everything here, and if you're on Etsy and willing to give my shop a "heart," that would be fantastic. There's paintings, knitting projects, quilting projects, earrings, and more.
Also, I have a piece of travel writing that was just published in the latest issue of Yellow Arrow Journal, which is available in pdf or printed copy here.
This fall, I'll also have pieces of writing published in the Shanghai Literary Review and The Finger Literary Journal, so look out for those as well if you'd like.
Hope you're well, and hope to see you here again before too long.

Quick hello; "A Cutting"
Hi there! A break from my break in posting because I'm very excited to have just had some writing published in Switchback Magazine, an on-line publication of the University of San Francisco. At the moment, if you click here, you can scroll down to the nonfiction section and then click on the title of my piece, "A Cutting." (It's a throwback to the Madagascar years!....) Not sure how long it will be until they put up a new crop of pieces, though so hopefully this link will work long past when my name disappears from the homepage. :)
Thanks for reading, and hope you like it!

Land of Dark and Sun - book published!
As some of my 2.7 readers know, after finishing Peace Corps in Madagascar in 2006, I spent nine months traveling around southern and eastern Africa. And then when I got home I decided to write a book about the trip. Fast-forward just nine years (ahem...don't ask) and I have finally self-published said book! A fair number of you are mentioned in the acknowledgments. :) If you are interested, it is now available in both paperback and on Kindle. It's called Land of Dark and Sun. (The paper copy is also available through Amazon, but it's a much better deal for me, royalties-wise, if you use the CreateSpace link above.)
If you like it, I'd be so grateful for anything you can do to spread the word by Facebook and other social media. If pleasure reading is not really a priority in your life right now and you doubt you'll get to it but are willing to help spread the word regardless, I'll take that, too.
I've also updated the Any Which Way Travel website with a new page (the tab reads "News/Photos") that has these links plus photos from recent adventures. Check that out by clicking here.
Thanks for reading, and for the support!

Hippocampus travel piece
I'm super-excited to have a piece I wrote (long ago after a vacation I took from Madagascar when I was living there) published in this month's issue of the online magazine Hippocampus. Please check it out if you have the time. I'm embedding live links to the magazine homepage, and also to my article in particular.
Thanks for reading!
