Leon

From the beach, we backtracked to the city of Leon, which lived up to its promise of being a more real and loveable Granada. It is packed with gorgeous churches, workaday people, and more than one tourist who has decided to stay far longer than originally planned, wooed by all of the above. J and I stayed at a fantastic, Nicaraguan-owned and run hostel that had a really kind, fun group of people. So there was also a lot of card playing, cooking, laughing, and walking around town with those folks. (TONS of Canadians and a bunch of Europeans, but strangely almost no Americans.) Such an enjoyable couple days.
