Happy New Year! You know what that means...or maybe you don't: Summer at Palmer is in full swing!
We are enjoying such ridiculous nicenesses as lunch on the floating dock on warm and sunny days...
...and slow sunsets on the balcony on mild evenings...
...and sooooo many penguins around. It's funny to me now to think of my first few weeks here when seeing a penguin even from afar was beyond exciting.
Now they're EVERYWHERE, hopping out of the water for a rest on the rocks near the pier, hanging out with seal pups...
Even walking up the road through station in the middle of the day like they have business here. As my friend K says to me while we're both videoing this one: "Summer is here!"
