Dayhikes from Castlegregory

The day was cloudy, windy, and rainy, but I loved our walk in Glanteenassig Forest all the same. There was this great (albeit covered in sheep poop) boardwalk around Lough Cuam...

...and it was fun to watch all the waterfalls run underneath us into the lake. (Where is all this water coming from? The sky, I guess.)

Thoroughly soaked but thoroughly happy, we headed back into town for a nice, warm, comforting bowl of soup. (Plus some of that amazing brown bread on the side, of course.)

Then, today, the sun was shining relatively consistently, so we decided to climb as high as we could up the behemoth next door: Brandon Mountain. The uphill was totally worth it for the views, and it barely rained on us at all.

Afterwards, we made another stop at our now-favorite café in Castlegregory, Moe's. SO COZY.

Plus finally got our photo opp at the local namesake pub, with its eye-catching outdoor art.

On the way home, we encountered some unusual traffic.

All in a day in the life of a tourist in Ireland!
