Have I heard of St. Ives before? If I have, I didn’t realize it was in Cornwall. And I was not expecting it when I drove into town to check it out. So many people, so many beaches, so many tiny streets among stone buildings of holiday apartments.
I’m heading back stateside for a couple more weeks with the fam before I return to Alaska for six more weeks. So I’ll see you again from the far north in mid-August!
Aw, geez, now I gotta come back to Cornwall sometime to see a concert in this amazing setting….
It’s not a visit to England if you don’t go to at least one castle, so here it is!
I came here because I kept hearing how beautiful the Cornish coast is. I can tell you, that was no lie.
I’ve been wanting to come to Cornwall for a long while and am sooooo happy to be here for a solo week of remote work, rest, and exploring.
After eight fantastic days in the British Channel Islands, my mom and friends headed home, while I spent a whirlwind 24 hours in London visiting my college roommate. She took me on a magical bike ride through the central city. Pinch me!
It may be eleven years since my last visit to the UK, but I think it’s been 25 years since I last visited France, as a college student! So it was very exciting to make a day trip from Jersey to the enchanting walled city of Saint-Malo, on the coast of Brittany.
And when it rains it pours…if all goes according to plan I’ll be back in France later this year. Already looking forward to it…
It’s been eleven years since my last visit to the UK, so I’m very excited to have these next couple weeks to be in the area again, but also to check out places new to me while I’m here. First stop: Jersey Island in the English Channel!
